This one-day talks program aims to rethink the role of fairs in the art ecosystem that will emerge from the crisis derived from the pandemic. After a year marked by uncertainty, cancellations, and virtual initiatives, the art world confirmed that fairs will continue to be an important part of this industry, but in turn, revealed the challenges they have in order to adapt to changing times.
What are the challenges that art fairs face in the post-Covid era? How do they adapt to the accelerated digitization of the artistic experience? What fairs do galleries need, and what fair model do we want for the future?
Esta jornada de debate se propone repensar el rol de las ferias en el ecosistema del arte que saldrá de la crisis derivada de la pandemia. Tras un año marcado por la incertidumbre, cancelaciones e iniciativas virtuales, el mundo del arte confirmó que las ferias continuarán siendo una parte importante de esta industria, pero a su vez reveló los desafíos que tienen para adaptarse a los tiempos de cambio.
¿Cuáles son los retos a los que se enfrentan las ferias en la era post-covid? ¿Cómo se adaptan a la acelerada digitalización de la experiencia artística? ¿Qué ferias necesitan las galerías, y qué modelo de feria queremos para el futuro?
