“Social Media Strategies for the Arts”
Online Intensive Course delivered with Sotheby’s Institute of Art
July 12 – 16, 2021
Talking Galleries is proud to partner with Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London for the first time to deliver an online intensive course specifically conceived to provide students with the social media skills that are recognized and wanted around the art world.
This partnership provides us an exciting opportunity to strengthening our mission in fostering the sector’s professionalization and thus expanding the educational initiative we launched in April 2019 for practitioners and future gallerists.
With this new course, we aim to be an addition to Sotheby’s institute of Art’s offerings by bringing our area of expertise and connecting students with prominent professionals with broad experience working within the art industry.
Join our invited tutors to discover the social media trends that are shaping today’s arts landscape.
Social media has redefined the art world, changing our interaction and experience with art. Through a series of five expert-led lectures, this intensive course will introduce students to tools and techniques used to run engaging social media campaigns for art intuitions and businesses. It will provide practical knowledge to develop, and enhance the use of social media platforms for a broad range of applications. This includes marketing, content creation and curation.
It will also highlight new careers and professional skills that have emerged in the arts sector as a direct result of these developments. For example: communicating and enhancing the image of a museum, gallery or other arts initiative, or selling art through virtual social channels. The course is designed for anyone interested in digital marketing, and wish to update or build a social media presence in the art industry arena.
