Xavier Bové defines himself as a visual composer to identify his practice as a visual artist closely related to sound and music. He creates pieces where art and technology go hand in hand, and is especially interested in the perceptions of the human being and our relationship with the environment. His work embraces a wide range of fields and techniques in media, such as videomapping, light and digital art. From a technical background as a Sound and Image Telecommunications Engineer, he soon made the leap to artistic fields, with a Postgraduate Degree and a Masters in AV studies. He has participated in different festivals worldwide and has worked internationally in cities such as Berlin, New York, London, Singapore and Rome. He gives lectures and courses, and has been the artistic director of FIMG, the International Mapping Festival of Girona. He is currently the director of the Digital Arts Degree and Masters at La Salle Barcelona Campus – Ramon Llull University.
