András Szántó, PhD, founder of András Szántó LLC a New York-based cultural-strategy consulting firm, advises museums, foundations, educational institutions, and leading brands worldwide on cultural strategy. Current institutional and commercial clients include the Geneva Museums of Art and History, the Peabody Essex Museum, Art Basel, Audemars Piguet, BMW, Rolls-Royce, and other international museums and brands.
He is a widely published author and editor whose writings have appeared in the New York Times, Artforum, the Art Newspaper, and many international publications. He has directed the National Arts Journalism Program at Columbia University and has overseen the Global Museum Leaders Colloquium at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has been analyzing transformations in the art world since his doctoral dissertation at Columbia University in the 1990s on art galleries and the evolution of the international art industry. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he lives in Brooklyn, New York. Author of the forthcoming The Future of the Museum: 28 Dialogues (Hatje Cantz, Nov. 2020).
