Carles Sora is an interdisciplinary scholar whose creative and critical research explores the intersections of technology, audiovisual, culture, and arts. He is an Associate Professor and Academic Director of CITM (Center for Image and Multimedia Technologies), a digital creativity center at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Terrassa. Doctor in digital media studies by Pompeu Fabra University (UPF, 2015). He was an Assistant Professor of digital culture and interactive narratives at UPF, Barcelona, a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT Open Doc Lab (2017-2019), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, and founder of the incubator program UPF Starting Lab. Sora’s Ph.D. dissertation developed a framework for digital time and interactive narratives. He has a M.S. in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media (UPF, 2009), and a B.S. in Multimedia (UPC, 2004).
