Founder of MAISTERRA gallery in 2007, Pedro Maisterra represents the perspective of the gallerist as a mediator between artists, institutions and audiences. Since its foundation, the gallery has developed a programme that brings together artists from different generations and backgrounds, articulating an open and diverse discourse around contemporary art. His work fosters dialogue between the local art scene and the international context, as well as building relationships among the various players in the art world. His experience provides insight into how these relationships are shaped and how they contribute to the contemporary art landscape, both in Spain and internationally.
