Maria Arnal is one of the most recognized and groundbreaking voices in the contemporary music scene in Spain. Based in Barcelona, the singer-songwriter has published two long-length albums for which she has obtained many awards. She has been involved as a performer and composer in places such as Sonar Festival, TED Talks Vancouver, and Venice Architecture Biennale, among others. She co-directs, together with curator Jose Luis de Vicente, the sound essay Cada capa de l’Atmosfera (CCCB 2022), on climate change and sound awareness, which has been nominated for two ONDAS awards.
