Maribel López

Maribel López (Barcelona, 1973). She holds a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona and has developed her career in the fields of gallery management and curating. Between 1999 and 2007, she was Deputy Director of Galeria Estrany-de la Mota in Barcelona, and from 2007 to 2010 she ran Maribel López Gallery in Berlin. During these years, she was also a founding member of two curatorial collectives: Creatures (1994–2000, Barcelona) and THE OFFICE (2007–2010, Berlin). In 2011, she was the first curator of the Opening: Young Galleries section at ARCOmadrid. From 2011 to 2018, she served as Commercial and Curated Programs Director at ARCOmadrid, and since 2019 she has been the Director of ARCO in both its Madrid and Lisbon editions.
