Phin Jennings is a writer and researcher based in London. He writes about artists, the art market and, occasionally, culture and politics more broadly. His work has appeared in publications including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, The Art Newspaper, Frieze and Air Mail.
Launched this year, his monthly column for Ocula takes a sideways look at features of the art market including galleries, publicists and the positioning of art as an investment. In looking at these mechanisms and practices through an undogmatic lens, learning about their benefits and implications from experts and participants in the market, he hopes to develop a realistic view of how the art world runs and how it might be improved.
